I have "Fishing Deluxe" v2.8 - cost me a couple of bucks from the Apple App store. I have checked it against the paper Anglers Almanac and it is identical. App has all kinds of little tools and diagrams but I tend to only use one. Even though it agrees with the Anglers Almanac for tide times and the best days etc the peak times are slightly different.
Much easier to use and you can simply set it to your location to get precise readings. Alternatively, you can use the map to select another spot and it adjusts the times to suit the location.
I just downloaded the app and noticed there is up to 2 hours difference between the Tides for Fishing and the Almanac times for best times to fish. Has anyone else this issue or an idea why this is happening.
Personally found that the anglers almanac bite times are more accurat ( I get more luck on them) than on the tides for fishing - yes I have noted that discrepancy too and 2 hours is huge in this context.
Also, if you have a hand held garmin gps, it has a hunting/fishing peak time reccomendation and that has seemed most accurate of all to me.
