Hook Line and Sinker have used a 730 for the 2016/2017 seasons on the show for a wide variety of fishing types. Maybe you could have a look through 7mate episodes and see some footage of how it goes. There's a few youtube vids about the boat itself as well. Saw of FB the other day their one is for sale as they moved up to a 780HT.
It probably depends a bit on what your used too. Haven't been in a 730 but came from a 6m custom plate to a 680ht and I think it's great. Ride is heaps better, I have felt safe at all times in it and can fish 3 blokes down one side without having to counter balance. Be interesting to know how they compare to the Extremes as they have reverse chines to go with the flooding keel.
I have the 670HT crusher and love it. If you haven't been in a Barcrusher drop me a pm and if you are up around the rockingham area I could take you for a spin as Im on the water a lot. Best to see how they handle as it's a big purchase.
730HT is an amazing hull. Rides exceptionally well and awesome at rest as well. Honestly the best ally boat I have been in and you wont regret the decision.
i have the 2017 615 WR and have over 200hrs of offshore fishing in Perth , Lancelin , Jurien etc on it since September and it continues to impress me even though it is a full 2 metres smaller than my last 8.2 Ali Hardtop , i will go bigger next year as its a tad to small for sleeping overnight on but they are an awesome hull for aluminium there is no doubt. Barcrusher are currently building the first 780 WR (centre console ) right now and i am keen to see it as i think it will be my ultimate trailerboat.
Thanks for all the feedback guy’s. Haven’t heard too many bad wraps on the bar crusher range. Not sure whether to go the 730 or 780? Mainly drift fish out wide for demersals and do a fair bit of deep drop fishing also. Deck space is king for me and I believe the 730 has a bigger deck? Need to be able to comfortably fish 3 on one side when drifting. Anyone been in both boats that can comment on the pro’s and con’s and difference between the two? Not sure if the 780 is worth spending the extra money on??
I own one, have for 1.5 years best toy I have ever purchased. Been in several boats around the same size and each have there pros and cons. In saying that tho i love my 730HT.
