What is this fish doing in a sheep paddock?

Hi,
I dont know my fish from my fowl, but I do know that this fish doesn't belong in a Victorian sheep paddock
100km from the sea and a good way from any decent river catchment.
Help me out here please.
First is it fresh water or ocean?
If it fresh water then it could be a rejected dinner of a heron.
If its ocean then I reckon the neighbour dog has been in the garbage.
I can make out a nice set of sharp teeth if that helps...

its a redfin
plenty of them in all freshwater dams, rivers and lakes in Victoria.

Looks like the Crows have taken the eyes and the guts and then turned their beaks up at the rest of the fish.. LOL

Now that I have the name, the Googles confirm it.
Redfin perch Perca fluviatillis
"Redfin perch was listed as a Class 1 noxious fish in NSW in December 2010.
Other common names: European perch, redfin, English perch, Eurasian perch"
One can just make out the stripes. So it's a nasty invasive....
