Yes fooled us all , and i agree heeps off fish on the sounder but they were playing hard to get . Still a good test run for the boat , and a feed at the end off the day. See you tommorow night.
It is great to see what anglers from other countries are up to.

The guys said to me are you keen to join our boat for the local fishing comp..i hadnt had a fish for months so i jumped at the chance...boat was a cracker(have attached pic). They told me dont bring a rod we have plenty..i was very excited!
About ten of us piled in the old tub..and steamed for 30 mins, to a spot were there was a water fall into the ocean. I was waiting for someone to pull out some hooks/ bait ect..but no..everyone was using the feather jigs, with 6 hooks on them. I got handed a rod and then the soccer came on the radio in the wheel house. Everyone had squeezed into the wheel house to listen to the radio...whisky pooring..and joints flowing. Now i realised why i didnt have to bring a rod....because no one was there to fish!
First hour i pulled up a heap of Mackrel, and also 1 pollock. I then found some old rusty hooks and put i nice slice of macky on to it and sent her to the bottom.....we drifted for 5 hours and i didnt get one bite.....not even a wrasse!
One of the other guys that wasnt to drunk to fish caught the ling. We cooked it up that night it didnt taste to bad. It was a great day, and had a great laugh....but think that it is that cold there the fish are to scared to live on the bottom!

I think the sea fishing over there is dead now I've been in oz for over 20 years and it was getting bad then, My brother in law lives in scotland he says people dont bother sea fishing much now in scotland and england it's all fished out. I also watched a dvd from about 5 years ago by a fishing identity saying basically the same.....and we think we have it bad!
To all the virgins..............Thanks for nothing!

Depth Wade?
Obviously summer mate if it's 'north of the wall'. What depth were you fishing in? How's the eating quality?
Nice to see some international stuff!

Oche Aye Wade!
whisky pooring...
How deplorable! Non of us would ever consider doing that
.and joints flowing
They should exercise more, then their ankles, knees, hips and elbows wouldn't be so fluid.
also 1 pollock
I wondered where that guy got to!
