Heading out in 40 knot winds
Heading out in 40 knot winds and 4m swell? I'd say pretty unlikely. Its not the heading out thats the problem though, its the getting back in.
Too many days away on seabreeze, so the forecast is bound to change somewhat.

Yes hopefully next week will be
going to Leeman (Bobs had pnuemonia) & yes Colin I'll be hitting the beaches up there, but more than likely they'll be full of weed, bugger, taking the boat just in case

The weed is a worry Roberta
You might have to try some of the jettys up that way if it too bad to take a boat out. In have found that the jetties can provide good fishing when tghe weather has been a bit stormy.

Yes Colin have the Cray fishermans jetty
and further north of Leeman (8klms) there is a place called Coolimba which has a cray fishermans jetty and I've had some good bites and bust offs from there, take my deck chair, fishing gear and sit fish (Bob snoozing in the car), get good herring, skippy, squid and yellow tail kingfish (undersize), last trip that escaped from the fish tanks/nets in Jurien. Sometimes you have to drive on the beach for quite awhile up there but there are spots that you can fish just have to watch the gutters weed in them but thats sometimes where they are. Remember one time I got a good hit on and thought this is good and they were undersize tarwhine (yellowfin bream) I've caught undersize snapper and gee that gave a good fight (all went back), Bob was quite suprised that I caught the bream, as I usally only catch blowies and seaweed ha ha ha But I was brought up fishing on the beach so I really enjoy it and Bob's bought me some nice rods to fish with, don't ask me the names I wouldn't know.

Wish I could join you
That sounds like fun. There have been a lot of juvenile snapper in close this year. Maybe the big ones will be there now Roberta.

yer was thinking of going a bit further up... and fish the sand gutters instead of the reef... have been going there for the past couple of trips with success and no weed... couple of guys that were fishing loonies and flatrocks were just casting into pools of weed... might go to north mole for a morning fish tho.
