What depths have you been trying? What type /size of boat? What direction have you tryed? What sounder are you running? Rigs and bait Ect? A lot of questions but all relevant.
Mate of mine got two size after half an hour drifting 2 mile out from two rocks marina the other morning, we go before sunup for the inshore dhus and pinks in our tinnys, see dhus on the sounder over reefy bottom, they head back to their caves when theres light around (vulnerable to sharks) although I have gotten a few just on first light, fun on light gear, but not too light incase there might be a big model gettin round. Gulp placcies and bait
its a lot easier than Perth Heyundy, albeit the ramp can be a nightmare!
head west ~15mile until hit the reef 38-42m and just work the ground. (I always skip the shallow reefs but can produce). I know it sounds basic, but it is!! It is how I started and now have literally hundreds of spots up there that always produce the goods. Some lumps come up to as high as 30m.
look for likely ground (as is always said cray pots are a good indicator) and give 2-3 drifts, if no good, keep moving and find the fish, dont wait for them to find you!

So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

The one thing I've never
The one thing I've never understood with the 2 rocks mariner is with all the money collected with the ramp fees why the hell is there only one ramp!

It is a private ramp as such.
All the money goes to the lease and upkeep of the existing ramp.

There are two ramps but one
There are two ramps but one jetty.
If you can use the right hand one , you can jump the queue
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
