Troll Soft Plastics?

Just wondering if anyone has ever trolled with soft plastics and had any success?  I cant see why you couldnt but looking around it doesnt seem to be common practice?

 Well i know it isn't

Well i know it isn't trolling, but when up north we'd rip the softies back as fats as we could to stir up some pelagics, so if you trolled (stickbaits)

and just gave the rod some wobble as you went along you'd be bound to get a few.

Give it a go I'd be sure it'd work, just remember you'll need some really heavy jigheads to keep the plastic down

When I was living in dawin it

When I was living in dawin it was fairly common practice. We landed a few Barra on them. We found trolling as slow as possible and  working the hell out of the plastic with the rod was the way to go.

I've trolled soft plastics out the back of my mates tinny at rotto around the natural jettyu get  Huge Tailor, and trolling you get herring around the mourings at rotto, and a 15-20kg+ sambo chased it. Mind you the soft plastic  was only 5cm long!
