Lanox
lanox is one of the good lanolin sprays, also fish oil is good for inside hollow sections.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !

After just finishing
After just finishing re-galvanising mine, I have sprayed the most corrosion prone areas with fish oil. The reason I like it is because it dries into a semi hard coating or skin which helps to keep the salt from even contacting the metal. It seems to fight minor corrosion too..

Like Willo says, flushing is the only real way to keep it at bay.

Fish oil
I use fish oil spray on anything metal that isn't galvanised. Probably a big spray avery 6 months and little touch ups here and there. Use marine grease on anything that moves or screws as well. If you take the wheel nuts off for any reason always wipe with anti-sieze before they go back on.
I don't think you can stop it rusting but I reckon you can slow it down.

Like Neil said, Rust never sleeps
Fresh water deluge and salt away after a day out and a dose of Lanox every few months, keep the rig under cover in a shed.
