Do you mean Blaxell Surfrider?
If so most of them were really well built -except one in particular -which split in half when Tom (Blaxell) was trying to Break the Freo-Rotto speed record -that said it was rough and he was motoring -needless to say the record was not broken that day :-)
Yes - disregard my comment re the one that split, i think from memory it (the one that split) was built a lot lighter than the production boats to get the weight down for racing -just got it down a bit far
A mate of mine used to have a Daytona, very solid boat and well built
