stone deflectors - part duex

probably to JohnF's disgust, I googled some stone deflectors, but was put off by the price (starting at $370+...), so I managed to fashion these ones up with steel from site, and a bit of conveyor belt rubber I had laying around. they're 1850mm wide, and drop 450mm. I'm yet to decide if I need to cut an exhaust hole out. they take around 1 minute to install, so I'll only be putting them on when I hit the dirt track.
I welded up a bracket that will fit around any standard Reece hitch/tow bar of 50mm SHS, so if anyone wants to borrow them after I've returned from my trip, I drink Gage Roads Little Dove... :)

I made some up very similar to yours. As piston said don't worry about the exhaust. I had mine on the D max all the way to Coral Bay no dramas.

Mate they could be a bit
Mate they could be a bit low.... I made some in a similar way but found on the Ningaloo stn track that they made contact with the ground and caused stones and dirt to fly up... I did however make them from door matting which would grab the loose dirt more than the smooth rubber..
Take a stanley with you so you could trim them if you had to- otherwise it looks like a neat job- well done
