Not monsters but good to see a plan come together right.
Went out on a quick solo mission on Friday morning, sounded ground holding fish set up the drift dropped octo jig down & left it dangling in the rod holder then dropped second slow pitch jig in 2 twitches of bottom hooked the smaller of the two, got it off bottom and the other rod bent over and started looseing line.
With the first fish no fealing huge & clear off bottom i left it in the rod holder & pulled the other 64cm Dhu up. Then back to the first pulling up second that was probably size but never mesured for a quick release.
First trip out on the new boat was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Caught a few fish on the octo's b4, they are good for sitting in the rod holder with jig 1-2m off bottom & letting the swell do the work while you have a second rod on the go.
Just up graded from a 4.2m tinny to newish Genesis craft 5.2 Runabout, very happy with it so far has opened up a hole l9t of new ground and new tecniques to explore.
