Such a frustrating player is Smarsh. There's never been a player I remember that makes a tonne and then follows it up by scratching around like an old chook. He usually follows it up with a pair so at least he is improving at age 33

I said it in the Warriors thread, unless you have a genuine all rounder ala Flintoff then fuck off the all rounder and play the best 6 batters, a keeper and your best 4 bowlers. The only exception there in recent years is Symonds who was good for at least a wicket and saving 20-30 runs due to his fielding alone.
Unfortunately Rod Marsh is on the crack pipe which was proven when he said he won't pick Bird because his batting isn't up to scratch. Makes you wonder how McGrath or Walsh ever made it...
