River depths/mulloway around the causeway

Hey guys just as the topic says... I have a few evenings free and with this weather I'm keen on putting in a few hours with a big bait or two. I'm not too familiar with water depths or good spots around the Causeway as I've generally fished for mulloway much farther upstream. Can anybody point me in the direction of some deeper holes or gutters in the area? or is it just a matter of cast and hope? Pretty keen on staying reasonably close to the area as it's close to home.. may have a few beers etc.

Cheers!

More important to fish

More important to fish structure than depth IMO so long as the water isn't too shallow. I find getting right in against the pylons to be pretty good. The Mullas seem to like sitting out of the current & picking off any baitfish (or other food) that drifts past them. Don't forget there is also a pressure wave on the upstream side of each pylon. Fish will sit on that pressure wave & behave the same way. Basically find structure with a good supply of suitable food & your in with a reasonable shot at a Mulla. The other good spot is structure that is right near a drop off. So places like the end of Claremont Jetty, The Narrows & Canning Bridge are also good.
