Reef runner transducer pics

I know a bloke with a new reefie that is having trouble with his 600w transducer position. Wondering if anybody would have a pic of their setup that works.

Thanks crano

Heres mine. It works pretty well up to about 25 knots but kicks up a lot of spray. I did try it closer to the motor but had a lot of interference from the leg. It worked pretty well up in shark bay but its still a work in progress.

Your transducer location was interesting, defies the  common view that the deeper into the water the  better. But this is obviously not an option if you have tabs, all that area is unuseable. EDIT--for me at least, not really the tabs  but the tie-downs will foul-no issue if you don't have tie downs there  Comparing installations, I said I wasn't happy with my In-hull location at speed.(B175M) I had placed it  between two strakes which finished well forward, thinking it would be the best location. But, after looking at a picture taken at speed, under a similar hull, you realise that the bubble trail from each fans out as it moves aft. Mine is probably sitting right where two bubble trails intersect, worst possible place.

My TM RV-100 now works better at speed. It is mounted fairly deep, on a sliding s/s bracket-not the type shown above-need the sliding function to avoid grounding it on the beach in surge. I broke the original slider after a year, realised my mistakes in mounting it, much more durable and functional now. base is still in the same position. I'll put a pic up of what I did, boats' out in the storage shed ATM.  I was getting a clear pic on calm water up over 20 knots at the Monties decently, big improvement. Little bit of sea, getting a bit broken at 20 knots, but clear enough.

This is the revised sliding setup, using a Sailmaster(?) bracket available from Whitworths. My original  mounting had the transducer munted at the bottom of the slider, and it bent due to water pressure. So icut the slider down this time, so there is no leverage on it.

This is the raised position

This is lowered
