Prawning - lower reaches of the Swan
Submitted by randall df223 on Fri, 2018-03-23 16:39
I remember years ago when i was working on the river all the boats anchored up in rocky bay dipping a net for prawns.
I believe autumn after the first rains flushes down and out through the lower reaches being a populkar time.
I see there is a chance of (not much) rain on saturday and again on monday.
Tides are most suitable on tuesday night. Is this too soon? Is anyone catching many prawns yet?

May to July. Need big tides
May to July. Need big tides over a short period of time and plenty of rain to flush them out.
Saying that can't hurt to try.

Don't know about the swan
Don't know about the swan but been shitloads of prawns down here in Mandurah for the last month or two. I get about a kilo an hour dabbing while wading.
