Polaroid Sunglasses

Hi All, Any ideas on an economic option for polaroids. After losing numerous pairs of expensive sets this year, including a new set oif Maui Jims over the side yesterday, im over it. Looking for a quality budget option so im not so upset when they inevitably go missing... Cheers Jarrod

UV wraps

Mon, 2013-10-28 09:15

hi mate, I picked up some UV wraps from Bunnings a few of weeks ago. They are safety glasses that are polorised for $10. Not sure how long they will last yet but they are still going strong after 3 weeks so we will see i suppose.

 +1 for the polarized safety

+1 for the polarized safety glasses. Protector 'Whim Creek'  are my favourites. Though they are a smoke coloured lens. For freshwater fishing and Marroning I prefer an amber coloured lens.

These FishGillz glasses look

Mon, 2013-10-28 10:28

These FishGillz glasses look alright and they float for $60 . I was going to get them prior to the mrs buying me some spotters , which are good but heavy and always slipping off my head so I bought a neoprene keeper that goes aroung my noggen and slides up the handles when on the boat .

Mangrove Jacks

Mon, 2013-10-28 10:41

Jacks go alright for about $50 each and have a few different colours similar to spotters. Just dont clean em with alcohol based solution (spray/wipes n shit).

I used to have cheapo

Mon, 2013-10-28 11:01

I used to have cheapo glasses, and found that they scratch easy and I didn't really look after them.

When my dog ate the last pair, I got good mako's for about $200, glass lenses.  After 2 years they are still unscratched, due to glass and I reckon they are way better than all previous pairs combined.
