Phuket Fishing - Thailand

Hey guys,
I"ve done a quick search of the forums, seems like getting a charter in Thailand is a bit hit and miss.
Has anyone actually gone on a charter in Thailand and had some success? They seem to be selling the whole Sailfish, GT, Tuna thing a fair bit...
Thinking of booking with these guys:

Any feedback would be welcome!

Look up Phil Watkins. I dont have current contact numbers, but I am sure if you did a search he will turn up. I use to use him alot when I was over that end of the world. Top bill fish skipper. The boat name is Wahoo.

Hhmmmmmm.... looks like Phil is no longer in the game - sad, he was one of the best skippers around.

i went whilst over there a few times
Nothing but Tuna caught when i went and there were all of about 3 - 5 kg's. They only do trawling and you take a number to determine who is next in line for when the rod goes off. Don't get me wrong it was still good fun (especially the snorkelling just before the lunch they put on) but if you are after game fishing then you might be dissapointed. Lets face it though, it only cost's about $30 for the day to go! book when you are over there is normally the easiest.

hmmm
Most of them promise the world and deliver little. That was my experience.
I'd suggest going with someone via referral - that way you know what to expect.
