Northwest Blowie

HI Guys, whilst fishing out of Augusta on the weekend I managed to catch a Northwest Blowie after losing three rigs fishing for whiting! Has anybody else been catching these down this far south? If so i hope that it's not going to be a common occurance?

Yep I also got a 75cm NW
Yep I also got a 75cm NW Blowie off Ocean Reef in close while fishing for whiting. Good fun on the 1000 Stradic, but dissapointing to see what surfaced. Thought I had a massive flatty!

Probably one good thing about them, they are excellent bait for Dhuies with the silver sides and white flesh. May as well look at the positives..

i lost a squidjig plus a squid to good old northwester
i lost a brand new yozuri squidjig plus a squid that was hooked a couple of weeks ago in the sound that was smashed by a northwest blowie,wasnt upset about losing the squid,more upset about losing a brand new jig............

I've caught quite a few down that way over ther yerars, so it's not something new.
