Nominate the All Time Funniest Fishwrecked Thread
I’m sure that most members remember “that thread” which “tickled the funny bone”. Fishwrecked has such a wealth of information about most WA fishing and boating subjects stored in its archives, and it time to showcase these with the theme of humor.
The Shore Catch competition for March 2021 is to nominate the funniest thread, for voting by members. Nomination can be by comment on this post, or pm to me. Threads will be reviewed and finalists will be listed in a Fishwrecked poll that will run over the last week of March. The prize (a quality boning knife) will be awarded to the member that nominates the thread with the most votes, and if multiple nominations are received for the same thread the winner will be randomly selected.
Please think back to the “classics” and have your say. The site search function works, so find the thread you liked the most and nominate it. There are some really good ones that deserve to be read again, by members new and old.

The 'precorshuns' bloke has to be a front runner. Fishing a 12ft tinny for snapper in winter storms.
Been a couple of monumental rage quits over the years too.
My personal favourite was the fairly recent rate quit from the bloke with the platey with a Honda that wanted everything instantly. Posted multiple threads, couldn't listen to sensible advice, argued with anyone that tried to help him. He was pretty special.

fisherman 19**
was it a platey or the commodore with the new donk? the commy was still for sale a good few months later.
Scotto's tale of his mates trip north and back was another good one.
And then the one the bloke's gps tag on his pic had him fishing in the sanctuary zone at Coral Bay was it?

That was a great thread. Never worked out if he was a troll or was truly that much of a tool.

The South African blokes
The South African blokes meltdown after he posted on Anzac Day about how the troops that landed at Gallipoli shouldn't be recognised as hero's was quite memorable too.

Hallidays Anzac rant
Wasn't funny but was up there for the most engaging.
I try and keep out of the rants but do get a good laugh out of them.
