navionics gold card and android apps..

Guys can I get some feedback on apps to integrate a HDS 10 combo unit running a navionics gold card. Are there any android(Samsung phone appps) apps worth downloading.
Can you communicate between phone and gps..
Was hoping to use it to back up sounder and as a backup if the GPS IN THE BOAT WAS TO GO DOWN.

Navionics app is good
Pay for it but works, backs up to a cloud if log in so no need to worry about lost phone etc.
it won't talk to gps, have to manually enter or mark when you are on the spot.
Wise man says - first take the plank out of your own eye before trying to take the speck out of somebody else's.
