after reading the local paper the marina manager claims that the marina is safe ,does he have a boat i think not, the car that slipped into the water ,he claims that if he launched his properly the incedent would not have happened , he needs to get out of his office and look at what we have to deal with ,and try not to slip on the green slim ,how many times my 4x4 has slipped sideways when launching and retrivimg it is time boucott this ramp and make the change it to hillarys way and claims it does not need major maintence what a load of crock

I agree, oceanreef is the best ramp NOR imo. I dont understand why they didn't make it bigger, they had heaps of room.
It is a slippery ramp, and you really should have a 4x4 if you have a biggish boat.

My understanding that
My understanding that Mindarie is a "private" ramp that is owned by the marina. I reckon if there ever was a serious "boycott" of the ramp (which I would find hard to imagine) , then is would simply shut down and the car park turned into housing.
Mindarie is a great location but the ramp is pretty slippery and the whole marina is full of weed at the moment.
It would be nice if the few problems could be sorted out and then everybody would be happy.
My view is that the current ramp is a far, far better option than no ramp at all

a ramp, with the possibility
a ramp, with the possibility of a free salt water full car wash to add
personally i think something should be done with it, the worst case senario could be a death or something as a car slips down the ramp and squashes someone, maybe then they might realise its down right dangerous

Worksafe?
Did worksafe not have to come and inspect after the incident? My understanding is if something of this nature happens on a "corporate" venue then worksafe get involved??
