making has rigs

was just wondering what lb wire does everyone use for gas rigs and what brand have you used. iv tried halco but its abit hard to snell 100lb. anyone have any tips to getting over this problem?

I use 80 kg twist weld and have never had a bite off or breakage ever
just do it.

The reason the halco is
The reason the halco is rubbish for snelling is because it is only a 7 strand wire which makes it quite rigid. Try a 49 strand plastic coated wire and you won't have a problem. I use 150lb shogun 49 strand but they're all quite similar. Flemish eye on your terminal connections and give it a few twists before you melt. Some people put heatshrink on the twist. I have generally run crimps but you won't have a problem either way. Give it a good pull test after every rig you make and happy fishing
