Meant to say Dan, there are a lot of schools of Scalie Macks about in that area. I know this because I've caught them for bait.

I reckon a XRap about the same size as the Scalies and on a short lenghth of single strand wire will do the thing if you get your boat up there.

Also a couple of friends who have a well known business in Harvey and live in Binningup have told me they see them jumping every year out from there.

As notorious said, they are there.

Hey guys, could anyone give me a tip on the best depths to be trolling in this area for mackies?

Might drag the boat up from Busso on Friday and have a crack.

Any help would be great.

Im going to launch at Eaton and go for a bit of a troll towards Buffalo. Thanks Gaffatron doesnt sound like I will have to be that far off shore to be in with a slight chance.

Convinced the mrs to come with me while the kids are at school so should be a nice quiet morning on the water.

get your lures down as deep as possible, 12-20m

The macks I've been seeing of late are down at 18m+
