Submitted by koji on Thu, 2014-08-21 20:13
i brought a hds9 about a year ago with a 50-600 transducer but not really sure i am happy with it.just wondering if i should try a 1kw transducer or buy another sounder and keep it as a gps.
i would probably look at a simrad or raymarine any thoughts welcomed

its definitely a bonus but it just produces a clear reading with less clutter. but the simrads are probably the clearest sounder ive seen! used to have the nss7 and loved it even with out chirp
clear sounding even at 20knts

You need to select your
You need to select your transducer in the installation settings to get the best performance.... Try this...
From memory: PAGES SCREEN>SETTINGS>SONAR>INSTALLATION>select correct tansducer model (should be a small tag on the transducer cable which specifies the model.
