Lots of equipment, very less experience. Need a lot of tips!

ok guys... need your tips a lot!

I got 5 fishing rods in total, including a 12' rod and a massive 6m length rod! You do the conversion to feet. 20' ? Not only that, i got some lures as well. the only thing i dont have is a boat. i might buyone after i retire.. which is.. 30 years from now.

The only thing i've been catching are bream, flatheads, whiting and heaps of blowies. well, caught all of those in applecross jetty.

Then i tried to get those tailors in floreat beach. used my 12' rod. didnt get a thing. where did i go wrong?? the dude next to me keep getting them thou. i used pilchard as bait. tried my lure as well. didnt work. im kinda give up with surf fishing. or perhaps, i dont know the right te

all i want, just once, to catch a bigger fish than 30cm bream, whatever fish they are, just wanna know how it feels.  so guys, could you please give me a hint, where, when, how to catch big fish, without a boat ofcourse. pleaseee. any chance we can get any big ones from the swan?

well if not, perhaps, jettys somehwhere, or rock.. i dont know. anywhere without a boat please.

i leave my fishing future in your hand...

but seriously, i will definetely try any tips this weekend. thanks guys.

The big thing with fishing is patience. You can fish one day and do no good and the next time you go out you have a great day.
Buy yourself a good fishing book, like Fishing the Wild West, or Steve Corriea's new book, read up on catching a particular fish and make sure your gear and your bait is right to catch that fish and then go down and fish your heart out. There are fish out there, but it can take a little while to work out the little tricks that help you catch those fish regularly.
The guys on here who catch great fish regulkarly didn't get there without a lot of hrad work and research.
You can do it too.

hillary best spot

Fri, 2009-04-03 21:13

hi guys. read the article in reeltime. seems like hillary is a good spot. i've been checking the place by google map. seems like there are two options to go, whether it's the northside or southside drive. any tips on which side is better? i dont think i wanna fish somewhere in the jetty cause it might be crowded there. beside the article said there's be alot of blowfish to bug u there.

the map suggested that i should be able to drive all the way to the edge of the road and i would ended up to a rockyplace to fish. would this be a good spot to fish? if so, north side or south? would love to hear if anyone have any recent experience in one of those spot.

will try this spot on sunday. any suggestion on what bait to use would be great. do i need berley?

thank guys.

Lol Spess And it is very true

If the wind is in the right direction, the area on the main wall near Boy in a Boat reef is a very good option - particularly late arvo and early evening.
