Long w/e advice

I am headind down to busso for the long w/e.  I was down there for anzac day and got a good haul of KG whiting.  Would they still be about now or is it too late in the year?  If not KG what is worth targeting down there?  I might be taknig down my little tinnie or be shore based

I would appreciate some advice as I am not that famliar with the fishery down there.

i am no expert - but i do chase sqid on the bay regulary and there are heaps around if you have a selection of jigs. Not hard to catch your quota and a line with a prawn on it as you drift for squid will usually pick up something of the finned variety. Not sure how the KG'S are going at the moment.

just don't tell him that...ha ha

still plenty of KG' s around apparently. just look for snad amoungst the reef/weed. plenty in close of busso bay out of the marina. just move around till you find them. when fishing for them move your bait, ie slowly wind it in, and don't anchor it stationary, whiting like a moving bait.

otherwise head out to 4mile. look for reef and anchor and burley.

plenty of boats on the road this arvo.....

some salmpon stil hanging off the cape so troll/chse in close, just look for schools

most of all just enjoy you time off
