heading down south for xmas break

 im heading down to the dunsborough area from the 26th till the 2nd. im taking my boat its a 21ft centre console with a 140hp. just wondering how deep/ what direction to head for demersals (not asking for spots just general area to find them) aswell as crays.

 so pretty much just dog everyone and fish near them is what your getting at? do you know if the pros have pots out there...they do the nice work of finding ground for you

what I was getting at. Just that the crowds at the ramp and on the water are beyond a joke over the xmas break down here. The cape is a good area and easy to access therefore the crowds.

The pro crayfisherman are basically a non issue down here most years so don't worry about them.

You'll be well served studying your plotter and sounding for fish. Plenty of Dhuies in close at this time of year

 I'd stay well clear of most boats!! We had the same problem last year an I found the best way to keep them off your tail was a paint ball gun! I know a lot of guys that are going to be using the same ( pest controll ) method as me!!

i play paint ball with only a helmet. (im not joking) but yeh it does seem like an idea. im just tryna find out if its better to head out north west from dunsborough or go out canal rocks way. although in using your paintbal gun....what happens when someone happens to have the same spot marked and hasnt actually done you over...
