Gomoku for soft plastics
Submitted by fab on Thu, 2015-02-05 19:51
Hi all, im in the market for a soft plastics 3 to 6 kg spinning rod. My budget is up to $150. Someone told me that these Gomoku rods are the way to go. Are they any good for soft plastics fishing, as i know that they were designed for micro jigging. Any advice or tips would be awesome. Cheers Fab

Ha ha a mate of mine has one of these Gomoku light jiggers and reckons it's the best thing since sliced bread. I'll sit back and wait for the snap story lol

Definately stay away from
Definately stay away from gomoku's. I really used to like them but after having bad experiences and seeing others fail they too unreliable for me. I've had two snap so far on me Definately a waste of money. First one was from sambo fishing hooked up and it gave away I thought it may have been from just wear and tear as I used it loads., got a second one after that and the third drop using it hooked up and was a Big Bang as it snapped, no high sticking at all never got a chance to. I only run 20lb so it wasn't from being overloaded too.
I have seen two snap on charter boats too and not from high sticking or overloading the rod they just gave away for no reason.
1 from the beach is worth 10 from a boat
