Mate it should be fine, last
Mate it should be fine, last few years the maintenance has been pretty good since the shire took over. But once you get to Gnarloo station itself expect anything as Paul does farkall on that track. The track out to the bay from the homestead last year was the worst I've ever seen it with the limestone outcrops horrendous. But just take your time and you'll be fine. Where are you staying and what are you doing etc? We are heading up mid May.

Cheers for that sea-kem. Staying in the cabins . 7 x days fishing fingers crossed .
Have 3 x boats going and first time towing my bigger boat in. 6700 Genisis so planning on mooring in the bay .
Have 1 x 16kg anchor and chain + 10 kg anchor and chain , 10 meter chain on each to large swivel then 25 mt nylon 16mm rope to float. should do the job hopefully.
First time mooring.
Been there quite a few times over the years so know what to possibly expect with the track .

Have fun Johnny D
Mooring in the bay is the best. Done it for the past five years or so. Once in and once out and less time on the track. The beach has been much softer over the past years when we have been there in July. Get out wide to the Goldband.

Tracks
Tracks all gone. Need to take your own. With multiple vehicles with you, should make it easier to retrieve.

Swing Radius on Mooring.
Anchors look good Johnny but a 25m rope length will give you a massive swing radius. Your pennant should be around 4-8m long to prevent picking up other boats in the bay. Couple of years ago, a plate alloy picked up two other boats on the breeze change and by morning they were tied together like a pretzel.Plenty of damage and happy campers. Remember - if you don't know who the muppet is...........Then your the muppet!!!!
Well worth considering. Just my five cents mate.

All good mate.
Was just stating i have 25 mt of rope.
I made it for beach mooring at Rotto.
Already thinking i want need all for mooring as the radius would be to large but thought better to have more rope than be to short .
Everyones five cents is what I am after as thats why I use this site .
Cheers
John
