Great unit for that application

ive got one with a TM260 1kw transducer and it is more than I need. A decent 600wt tranny will be good enough for the depths you mentioned but it dosnt hurt to have a bit more power just incase you want to venture out a little further

 It will work well. Throwing

It will work well. Throwing a spanner in the works though, at that depth a Garmin XSV 7410 which has an awesome side scan and CHIRP for both standard and side scan is brilliant.

You can't go wrong

Top unit. A p66 (600W) tranny should be good enough for that depth but, get the tm258 (1KW) and you won't look back.

Furuno are streets ahead of the nearest opposition at finding fish and yes P66 will work just fine in that depth.

do yourself a favour and speak to someone who knows about marine electronics in regards to a tranny to suit your needs.

ive just been through this process and tm258 and 260 are ok but there are better trannys on the market now.

CH Smith in vic are very knowledgable, I struggled to find someone local who knew what they were talking about
