Feeding frenzy
Submitted by alfred on Sun, 2014-03-23 17:24
I haven't wet a line for some time, but I sure was tempted today.
I was on the beach between Ocean Reef and Burns Beach and there was this huge feeding frenzy going on, bait fish jumping all over and some of the biggest splashes I have seen for a long time. It was a good way out but the hits were as clear as day. Went on for over 20 minutes at 4pm this arvo.

Reading this is highly
Reading this is highly depressing lol. Christened the new teaser on sat arvo pullin lures for a few hours in weed free water for nada. Had the right mentality on the way back (in close) but the only action we got was birds workin bait near the drum lines off trigg late arvo. Turns out the mass bait ball was 1 inch long whitebait getting harassed by hezzas
. sooo tempted to pull a sickie with tomorrows forecast and this report..... Good stuff sherbs, look forward to the pics, bet youv had a fair few sessions again this year balloonin off the beach and finally paid off, that wind musta had the bait skippin well!

Wind didn't back off like Id hoped, bit choppy behind the 3 mile so the Mrs and kids didn't love it trolling side on to them seas (tough titties for them) but no swell, clear water and weed free. Couldnt imagin it to be that great outwide
