Exmouth caravan parks
Hi all,
will be making a trip up to Exmouth in April next year and would like some views of caravan parks. I was up there in April this year and stayed at Lighthouse. Although it was OK, I thought the facilities (toilets/showers) were a bit substandard for a big park. The fuel facility was great but most days we drove to Tantabiddi to launch except for one where we launched at Bundegi to fish the Muirons.
I have been told of Yardie Homestaed as well. I guess this park is situated at Tantabiddi but still have to travel to Lighthouse for fuel. What are the facilities like? Can they spare some water to give the boat a quick wash after fishing? Not so at Lighthouse.
Not even considering staying in town so its a toss up betwwen lighthouse and Yardie.
Thanks in advance

lighthouse
I found the lighthouse park quite good. I mean its not a top quality park but for where its located it goes alright. Had two great retired couples on each side who cooked us dinner and took us to a few spots they were having luck which added to the experience.

I found the caravan park
I found the caravan park really basic, the ground to try pitch our tents were really rock hard and we couldnt get our tent pins in.. really made setting it up a pain.. would be an alright park if you stayed in one of the caravans

Both parks are much the same
Both parks are much the same I have stayed at both .The lighthouse has fuel so it is the one I chose .mate for the amount of time your in the park who cares .we were on the water most days .and if not we were in town getting suplys. Better fish gulf side aswell. I would start thinking about booking sone as the park is quite full in April. We are staying in a house in town next year .As it was cheaper than the lighthouse for eight people.
