Eco
He's a ripper bloke Kurt and knows his stuff. I've been there the last two Easters (not this year unfortunately). You'll have a ball. I was lucky for him to take me out the last time to just try out some new ground and we smashed a heap of reef speices with the highlight being a couple huge Chinamans! So much fun to be had landbased as well. Take a little flickrod and some halco twisties from 15g-30g and have fun with the little Trevs and Queenies just out the front of the resort and also throw a few stick baits around for some Macks! Let us know how you go and say hi to Josie and the gang from Ryan and Jess.
Cheers

Watch they charge you twice
you pay for the fishing trip, Then you pay full price to have it cooked, When you should only pay for the veggies on the plate and the time it takes
Make sure you booked dinner each night, Long drive if you forget to book and they are full
No 4x4 on the beach

Yeah they encourage catch and release although they let you take a fish or two for the chef to prepare for dinner if you pay for salad/veg. Unsure of your double charge experience but I've never had a problem. Yeah if your not staying a few nights there definately book as there is only the one restaraunt but there is a few communal bbqs to use.
We had a few Asian tourists try to enter the beach on non 4wd corollas and the like when we were there and got stuck on the main driveway down to the beach which was a bit of a laugh. I think there may be 4wd access to the beaches (not at Eco) fairly close by within a few Kms I've been told but never seen them myself.
Did you manage a fish there Sherbs?
