Do your self a favor and use the back of a really stiff knife and wack off as many of the spikes as possible first. Makes life much easier when eating.
sorry no idea how to cook em ...just wondering are they the large white crabs you see in the chinese restuarant aquariums...I suppose there be a few types...often wondered what they'd taste like ...hmmm might be chinese chilli crab for me this w/end
Chris , their similar to a muddy but light brown in colour, hairy legs with small spikes along them, good tip Alfred , already got sore fingers from being spiked

Muddies
Boil or steam them the same as you do mud crabs, for the bigger ones give them a few extra minutes.
