Daiwa d cast

well i went to bcf to get a small baitcaster for mandurah estuary and i brought the daiwa d cast combo for $120. is this combo any good for estuary fishing in mandurah and for close to the coast of the dingy.

It will be fine for tailor skippy etc just dont run over 6kg on it id recommend 4kg max. You have to remember you get what you pay for. That will last if you look after it.Cheers chris.

Top reel, on a seven foot Backbone Elite rod...great for driftbaiting, casting big lures/baits for salmon/tailor/dolphinfish/snapper. Probably a bit too much for the estuary, unless you were after mulloway. I'd go for a smaller Calcutta, like the 200, and put 10 lb line on it.

Thanks for the fish on Saturday, had great fun mate - couldn't remember your FW name...

Got the braid on now and dying to try it out - hoping to get out to FFB on Sunday, launching from SBay..

Wife wont bite on the calcutta reel and carbon fibre t curve rod - too close to Xmas.... so will have it for late December....hopefully....
