It's perfect for my use. On some of the bigger pots you need to make sure the bridle is right up to get the weight close to the pivot as possible but those tippers are great value with the full width roller and locking arm.
bought one of the alli tippers from jack several years ago at fishwise in zetta cresecent , it on my 5.5 aluminium barrington , it is light easy to use , has the wide roller , lock down arm , i only run full size steel base pro pots of margs and it handles them fine
Yeah still the same price just have to have the rod holders at correct centres. I got mine a fortnight ago and i got everything from him while i was there including s/s bolts and nylocs and even a tube of duralac which was really convenient not to have to run around at all installed it no time at all. He had plenty in stock when i was there.
i took my boat over to a local alli welder at marindi fabrications , they put 2 alli sleeves down into the gunwhale for the tipper to slide into as well as welded some extra strength alli tabs on where the capstan winch was going to be fitted , this added strength into the load areas under pull pressure when a pot is on the go
Contact Dror at CSD Designs, strong, well built tippers he can also install for you if needed, the guy is very fastidious about his work. He is however pretty busy so need you need to order them before you need it.
