hey guys. going up to carnarvon in the next couple of days. just wondering whats biting around carnarvon, from the shore. i'd usually go out to the blowholes or the bluff, but not this year, just hanging round town n most probably be hitting 1 mile, the prawning jetty and around pelican point. if i can get a heads up on what fish to target that would be great. cheers

Fish
There are the odd school of whiting during the day at Pelican point, some blacks and small sharks down in the channels on the high tide change.Miaboolia has been producing the odd mulloway and shark at night.
The river mouth has the odd tailor and queenfish, over all from the shore its been quiet of late.

well ive just returned. not to proud of my efforts. around town i only managed to catch whiting and flathead. no decent catches unfortunatly.
trekked to red bluff overnight, once again only managed a few flathead, a trevally and a spangled emperor. quiet dissapointing efforts by me, but oh well i'll give it another crack next year.
