Cant answer too many of those questions Doug but there is a fair chance I will find myself up there fishing that one next year as well. Must be catching up for a beer. AIBT held there next year too.

Hi Doug, Jeff Cooper should be able to point you in the right direction, pretty sure he is the current club president of the Broome fishing club his email should be Jeff.cooper@broomefishingclub.com.au or try president@broomefishingclub.com.au or tel: 0418906816

What size boat are you planning to fish out of?, I know Jeff fished 2004 out of his 4.2 tinny and launched from barred creek to fish the grounds just out from there, will try to find out about paid launching from a mate living up there

fishing out of a 7m tri gull wing walk round cab

same boat we fished out of 12 odd years ago

sorry should have mentioned we are travelling over from darwin

if anyone in the broome area knows of any industrial sheds would be handy too heard there aren many cheap un rented ones now as the town is booming

we used to just rent a big shed for the 10 days so boat and all gear could be locked inside  so anyone know of anything like this would be handy too

will get onto the president  soon just thought  id try here first

think they have been told we are heading over but not 100% on that will touch base with them any ways

dodgy should be able to manage  to find some time for a few refreshments ;)

Just check the broome fishing

Just check the broome fishing club website for details mate and they will be able to point you  in the right direction re. storing your boat and gear. A lot of members run businesses so they may be able to help you out.

Yeah the ramps are still s**t and there is no-one offering a launching service at the moment - a lot of boats rent a mooring to save getting in and out. The crew I fish with have a tractor which makes all the difference and I know theres at least one other tractor in town but they werent fishing the comp last year. If you have no luck I can ask if you can use it to launch but might be a long shot ...

Youll have a ball - it's a really well run comp and teh weather and fish *usually* play the game
