Best time to go fishing up north for barramundi

Could someone please give me the heads up for the best time to go fishing for Barramundi in North WA. Am looking to get a few friends over from Victoria and just need to know an approx time of year. Would the end of September be ok?

I'm Pilbara based, and the end of sept, start of october would be the best.  If your mexican friends came in december or january they would melt and probably end up in hospital.

Dunno about the Kimberley dudes, they get barra all year

thanks for that end of september sounds good as it will be my b'day then and will give them no excuse not to be able to make it.

can you hire tinnys up that way? unsure on how many will make the venture over but my boat is only 4.1 so there wont be to much room.

But I reckon Sept / Oct is the best as the run-off is hard to predict being dependant on weather and all.

Just not sure if we will let any Mexican's in

Plenty of options mate but weather here is HOT.

I regularly plan extended trips early Oct.

PS Dont forget to fill your profile in as it helps us answer your questions.

PSS I only drink Boags

During the run off for the N.T which again is dependant on the wet season being good or crap could be anywhere from about Late Feb to April, i imagine the Kimberly would be similer as i used to fish the Victoria River a bit at these times and Kunnunura is just down the road(few hundred kms). Just keep calling the local tackle stores of wherever you are planning on going for updates on water levels. But in saying that that is for mega sized Barra. If you want to get millions of undersized to just over the limit sized barra anytime from now is good.
