Beating the Crowd @ Two Rocks Ramp.
Submitted by Trueblue3 on Thu, 2012-03-15 08:44
G'day All,
I have been seeing loads of good reports coming out of two rocks was going to give it a crack soon, however there seems to be loads of congestion on the ramp in the morning, Is there much of a crowd around 4am? I would assume after 5am it would be a mad house.
Next question, has anyone / is it legal to stay overnight in the marina there? Either parked up and launch early, or sleep on the boat already in the water with an anchor out, obviously keeping close to the wall and staying out of the way of any night fishing boats...
cheers for the help in advance guys.
Matt

5am you will have no problems.
6am will start to get busy.
Its getting lighter later now in the mornings, so you will find most people will start to arrive later too.

sleeping in the marina-just
sleeping in the marina-just do it mate. Usual response if you ask is no.
I do it all the time with my boys up here, crabbing/fishing for skippy at night, find an empty pen and roll out the swags on deck.
Whats the worst they can/will do?
Just keep a low profile and it'll be ok.

ha yeah I hate to say it but
ha yeah I hate to say it but as I get older Im finding its better to just do this sort of shit quietly and deal with the consequences later, we all seem so shit scared of doing anything wrong, and feel compelled to run and ask for permission from big brother.
Ask any big organisation anything out of the ordinary and its "no".
Besides if you launch in the evening and depart at dawn whos gonna know? It was because your trailer winch was broken and you couldnt retrieve.
For my part, my boys are having fun, theyre not up to mischief and they arent sprayin graffiti.
