baby dhu on jig

Got another surprise today in 8m of water with a 58cm dhu bang eating my "insurance policy"(octo jig) and two pinks around 80cm while squidding. First time I've chucked the jig out in that depth and won't be the last. How did everyone else do today?

Did you fish it straight upndown in the rodholder ? I have lost one of these lures in 50m to something huge of Rotto, haven't fished one since, but have a couple more.
