10 years since I last visited but you could get a bit up on the fly bridge.Sometimes call out and sometimes just sms but I'd expect it to be better 10 years on
Best chance you've got Gordon. I was at the Mackies last year and the boys with Telstra jad 4G all day in the boat and my work-issued Optus paperweight had zilch. At the cabins they had full coverage and I got one or two bars out the front facing Onslow. Face the wrong way or move around and there was nothing.
I agree Andy but there are times when I want to be able to use my phone at the end of the day. Thankfully we're going back to Telstra. Never thought I'd say that!

I got a bar or two on top of a hill
You are likely to get your text messages at times, but a phonecall / internet search was tough.
Again a while ago.

Bits and pieces. I always
Bits and pieces. I always get enough at the top of the hills there to check weather forecast every night, check email etc.
Closer you get to Barrow or Lowendalls the better the service will be.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Anyone know if there is Telstra phone coverage in the Monties
I was up there 18 months ago, you get a few signals around Barrow obviously but as mentioned , hit and miss, you do get enough for a few SMS/texts

We were able to phone
We were able to phone coverage nearby Barrow. On some of the islands ( where the observation hut was for the testing) was the best area for reception
