Any Rugby diehards out there?... Lions Tour!

Not Fishing related!

ANZ Stadium will have over 80,000 people watching the final Wallabies Lions test this weekend with a further 20,000 being catered for outside the ground at Olympic Park!

With the series tied up at 1 each it is going to be a great game.

I'm torn as growing up in NZ, I am a All Black supporter but because my son was born here (A Die Hard Wallabies Supporter!) and because I took the Australian oath (Yes! I had to have a full Lobotomy) years ago, my 2nd favourite team is the Wallabies. The unfortunate thing is, ... I do not want to see the Lions win this tour, but ...? I also don't want Robbie Deans to keep his role as the Wallaby coach and a Wallaby loss will decide this!

In the end all us ex kiwis know we planted Robbie Deans here to fail Australian Rugby!

dean out, white in! im a diehard springbok/blue bull supporter. But that being said any team with Jake White as their coach is gonna be better off and i think the wallabies would gain alot more out of him then robbie dean. I mean the brumbies without any Wallabies (top of austrailia) players beet the lions, and then the wallabies barely make it 1 against 1. They have to put white in!

Brumbies played a completely different and inferior BL team but agree about bringing White rather then McKenzie.
White will sort out the attitudes of the 3 Amigo's with rock star attitudes as he does not suffer fool and will pick players in form rather then reputation.
Wallabies have very poor fundamental skills like kicking, passing, picking lines to run , set piece etc etc. He will slap the players in the face with the riot act until these have been dealt with.
There will be a few ego's hurt but they can either conform or F-Off.
Once this is sorted would be a better time for McKenzie to come in who has a very good rugby mind.

That was painful to watch, flogged all over the park in every aspect. It was so bad I even enjoyed the eagles winning.

The game we had to half to

Sun, 2013-07-07 09:20

The game we had to have to F-Off dingo.
The irony about Judas at flyhalf is that Robbie criticized Cooper for not attacking the line enough, crabbing and poor defense but saw exactly the same from Judas as well.
The form 10's in Oz are Toomua and Foley. They both need to go on the EOY tour of Europe and maybe at least Toomua blooded in for the Bledisloe and rugby championship. Lealo should at least had a crack at 10 based on the squad Deans had limited himself to. Judas is not a 10 and the rumours are circulating he might be coming back to the Force. Quite conficted about that.
Having said that any 10 will struggle to perform behind a beaten pack. I found it absolutely boggling why Palu keeps getting picked. He is no where near the same player as he was 5/6 years ago. Work ethic is poor and it gets worse as the game progresses and becomes invisible. His strength used to be his ball carries but he isn't winning the collision anymore and not getting us over the advantage line.
ARU need to get rid of the top up system. Players are getting picked on who is on the payroll and not based on form. Perfect example is Beale who has hardly played any rugby for the rebels, been an arsehole off the field and walks straight into the squad and played quite poorly through the series at fullback when Mogg or even Folau are the form fullbacks.
I know in the end Robbie Deans isnt the one on the pitch dropping balls etc etc but he needs to go not just because of his poor selections but he has clearly demonstrated an inability to change the gameplan when plan A fails or to get the players in the right head space to perform in the big games that matters.
A bit pissed off after last nights performance.

Lol, Judas - Jimbo is a good

Sun, 2013-07-07 09:30

Lol, Judas - Jimbo is a good kid & got a bad knock for what happened with his exit. At the end of the day he was trying to ensure good players at the club as part of his contract, management didn't like it & certainly didn't try & stop the media castigating him as a primadonna. He is not a FH, I would have him in the centres despite his lack of size he can tackle & breaks lines.

Yep Toomua at 10, Mogg / Folau at 15

ARU is so similar to CA, we don't stand a chance unless the politics above is resolved.

Out of McKenzie & White, I would prefer the latter purely on trying to stamp out ARU bullshit but McKenzie has done his time & it would sit well with the public to have an Aussie at the helm

Sun, 2013-07-07 09:50

I see JOC's future with the wallabies as a Utility for impact and spark off the bench or maybe on the wing(maybe as the AB's and Corey Jane have already exposed his poor positioning and defense here).
I don't see him as a centre's at all with all the traffic in those channels. He's not as bad as Cooper tackle wise but he isn't great as he will never win the collision against a big rampaging centre or loose forward and at least concede 5m if he doesn't get help to bring them down. ( Rene ranger Speedbump springs to mind) Also being the individual he is, he has demonstrated a lack of trust for the guys outside of him in most positions he has played in the defensive line. He has great skills and is great in attack but also has some shortfalls and is at risk of being a jack of all trades but master of none.

Harsh critic, we have a culture of jack of all trades in the backline because ARU don't create specialists. How many think they are good enough to wear 10 & how many are good enough? Play Jimbo in the centres & he will modify his game plan. AAC springs to mind

well its official The Rebels don't want Judas either. That's 2 clubs that have withdrawn contract offers to him. Must be something wrong with the Brand.

AAC is a different story. He has always been in line to replace stirling mortlock at outside centre but circumstances with injuries and the lack of depth in previous years has meant he was always mr reliable fix it in other positions.
