Dose anyone have a good size anchor they can part with. I'd like to use it as a temporary mooring when I head over to steep point. Boat is 6.6 aluminium.

Just use 2
Mate I moor my 6m boat up for weeks in some disgusting conditions by running 6m of 10mm chain to a 10lb sand anchor and off the very rear plate of that anchor I shackle another 4m length of 10mm chain to a 16lb plough anchor and never once had a doubt about it holding, just run 14-16mm high quality rope off it, locktight and mouse shackle pins and I run and fix some fibre reinforced clear hose over the first metre of the rope from the kleet to stop the rope chafing on the edges of the bow sprit when the boat is getting ragdolled around(my tub dances on anchor)... just make sure you secure the hose in place as to prevent it sliding out of the bow sprit and down the rope! I just loop some dynema shoot line (spearfishing) around one strand of the rope and secure with a loop around the bow sprit securing pin. I sleep just fine running that setup even when it's howling. Hope this helps.
