Adjusting Dunbier Boat Trailer.

G'day Guys,

Have a question about adjusting a dunbier boat trailer for our 575 cruisecraft.

At the moment when the boat goes on the trailer it has a definite lean to one side. Have measured the trailer rollers and eveyrthing seems symmetrical. The boat looks like it is sitting level when in the water.

So why does the boat have a lean to one side when retrieved on the trailer and what do I need to do to level the boat out on the trailer.

Does the boat rest on any

Does the boat rest on any keel rollers when its on the trailer? I'm assuming it has some 'swivelly' roller arms (forget what you call them) as opposed to all fixed rollers?

Is it leaning to the side that your batteries are on? I had the same problem with my Tournament ,weeks of frustration until I had the young bloke stay in the boat when loading and had him counter balance the boat.Works a treat now but had to go through alot of abuse at the ramp.

mate,

not sure if this helps, but mine is a multi roller drive on dunbier and was aways coming up crooked, did the same thing by measuring rollers and were all within mm of each other.

i started putting the trailer in deeper and presto problem fixed, to shallow and driving on must of be turnnig the boat to one side while going on.

cheers ron

I would say the boat is not

I would say the boat is not sitting level in the water due to the batteries. Relocate the batteries to level out the boat and it should fix the problem.

middle rollers

my previous glass boat wouldnt come up level , half the reason was the trailer was flexing as it was built for the boat , but i did find that the second set of wobble rollers fron the rear seem to do all of thework in setting the hull up for the rest of the trailer so i would check on there position , also i wouldnt drop your trailer in deeper as the rollers are not doing what there designed for, bring the trailer out and dry winch( not totally dry) the hull up to ensure it comes up  , otherwise you might need somw additionl rollers to assist it
