31 Million reasons to go fishing...

What would you do with the big one?

I would keep working but would be very part time. Set up a 4x4, boat new house of course.

The imagination is limitless...

Sort my parents out. Buy the house my missus and I are talking about.

Learn to skipper a boat and THEN buy one. Buy a couple of kayaks.

Take the girlfriend to Paris, and anywhere else she wants of course.

Buy a shit load more fishing gear naturally, and then just leave the rest in the bank diong what it needs to do.

As for quitting work cudbfishin you'd be out on the water all day not at home. But no I wouldn't give up my job either.

We can dream I guess.

Hahahaha we have

Thu, 2011-12-29 15:10

talked about this I don't know how many times but if we win, this is what we'll do

$15 million straight into our account for US, what ever is left, (as we will be SKI-ing) to the 3 kids

The other $15 million  would buy the 3 kids a bigger homes, cars, furniture etc, fund set up for the grand kids to go to University etc

Help out the rest of the family

Help out our close friends, pay their mortgage off, buy new furniture, cars etc

We'd travel see Australia first, then NZ, old fart wants to test all the whisky in Scotland, make sure it doesn't go off

Book the True North for 4 weeks and take family, close friends away with us

Then buy ourselves a bigger house, use the old boat for a tender on a much bigger boat and sit back enjoy the money, as we are retired, if we were working, give up work.

Personally think, its way to much for first prize, would like to see maybe $20 million as first prize,  $10million put into second division, as we had 5 numbers was horrible thought we'd get maybe up to $15,000 but all we got was $800, bugger and that was in a $18 million jackpot draw.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY just hope who ever wins, they deserve every cent.

Usually goes to a fair few winners anyway.
The whole lot? I think I would go for a cruise for a year fishing where ever I wanted. Take a bunch of mates and just change them out when the stopped bringing me beers. Bonefishing the flats of Belize, Roosterfish in Mexico, Black Bass in PNG, Bluefin Tuna in Canada. Maybe go for the Billfish Royal Slam.

Ah yes - Good old Iron Whore.

Thu, 2011-12-29 18:40

Ah yes - Good old Iron Whore. Still the biggest Bush Chooker (Exporter) in WA - probably Australia, but Id have to check with Champ first. Once upon a time you guys (BHP, Robe and HI) were the highest paid apprentices in Australia. $55,000 a year for a 4th year in 1996. Then came the Group Training schemes........Woo Hoo

Anyway, Im not too sure if you deserve a hug yet, you dont seem sensitive enough.

Good luck with the lotto. $31 million would buy nearly 20 houses in Hedland/Karratha!

travel

Thu, 2011-12-29 20:53

I agree with Roberta that they should cap the winngs and ensure the winnigs are capped , if you cant sort your problems out with $ 6 to 8 million theres something wrong,  as for winning yep travel the world on and off ,  my prefernce would be to have a good 4wd and larger trailable type boat that i could take all over OZ and visit all of the top fishing spots that have been on the fishing shows,  buying a 40 - 60 ft boat doesnt interest me , but thats my prefernce , hope some one local wins it

I like the new 4wd idea, but

Fri, 2011-12-30 14:02

I like the new 4wd idea, but I only just picked up a new Subaru Outback a month ago, so another new car might be a bit much.

Although I guess I could always buy the missus a shiny new Prado that I can use from time to time :)

Whats the interest rate on

Fri, 2011-12-30 11:24

Whats the interest rate on 31mill. 7-8%, $2.1 million pa. lose half in tax, bit over a $mill a year clear. Reckon I could live on that and not work another day in my life. Travel Australia and the world and do whatever takes my fancy at the time, bliss.

Cheers

Mullows
