Poppers for Tailor and Choppers
Submitted by UncutTriggerInWA on Tue, 2012-06-26 14:00
I thought I would post this picture up to give a better idea of the different poppers we have been discussing. It makes life easier for some I hope.
- The left popper is a Richter style popper. They come in different sizes and cast a long way.
- The middle popper is a "Fat-R". It's weighted and by far my favourite surface popper.
- The right hand is an Adagio 105 Stick Bait. They are weighted and great for below surface fishing when the Tailor go deep.
As you can see I keep all three in my tackle box and vary them depending on conditions.
I hope this helps.

Depends on what you are chasing Rails
The one pictured is one of the smaller ones but it will catch anything. Generally I would use one a bit bigger. Frankly, I don't use them a lot beause I prefer the Fat-Rs. They pick up quicker.
The larger Richters are good for when you need to get out a long way. I generally take off the treble and replace with a single assist. I've also tied an assist to the top of the plug to give a better strike ratio.
