Sorry Ads thought whilst I was at it I might chuck in this one. Saw a brown stain swimming beside the prop wash as we were travelling along, dropped a CD18 straight back as that was all we had rigged and caught this guy - went a touch over 38lb from memory.

Exactly the same here mate
Had exactly the same happen on Sunday mate, just not quite that big. Mind you the two others that were swimming around with the hooked one would have been pretty close on that one. Bloody good fish chief.

Top fish ,do they get much
Top fish ,do they get much bigger than that.We had a go under some Mantas last year but drew a blank,maybe this year.Well done

pretty sure Australian record for cobia
is still held by a Shark Bay cobia, so yeh they get bigger.
thanks a good fish though and would be stoked.....
they can pull damn hard......
