Is that for a Furuno. Had trouble fitting mine as i was told it needs to be 13 inch from the motor. I am now looking at fitting mine in the floor in a oil bath. Will be interested to see how yours goes. Check to see the size of the rooster tail coming from the transducer.

mines for a jrc, fitted it
mines for a jrc, fitted it exactly where i had the other one fitted its 700mm away from the centre of the hull, so should be plenty far enough, got it fitted pretty much same height along hull as the other one, though had to buy the stainless bracket from taylor marine and that wasnt cheapp, so you bouttime will be interesting to see how it goes, i hope it goes well

Good luck
Good luck Matthew - looks pretty sexy mate - put another one of those BIG FOOTS on the other side, make them adjustable and you could just about do away with bloody trim tabs.
I reckon that'll go right through the core of the planet and tickle some yanks toes!

hi jason, yeah next time i go out i will take some pics, going to refit the 600wt to the left side to compare bottoms at rest, the bracket was $297 so pretty expensive, but made it so easy to fit cause i couldnt use the bracket and leg supplied cause of the marlin boats on the savage, will let you know how i go, was thinking of maybe just going for a spin in the sound tomorrow to test it since the comps cancelled

hey paul, i never took my camera out, tim got a pic for me though, for first time out i was happy with it, seems to be in a fairly good position, though i might try a small amount of up or down adjustment next time to see if any difference, we only went around the 40's so didnt really get any depth, speed was good, however the saftey release on the bracket must have gave way on the way in, foind the reading hard to get and when we got back to the ramp found the transducer not right, but thats easy, replace the plastic washer with a thicker one to stop it breaking away so easy under speed, all in all happy with it, but more tresting and more sounder adjusting should get it alot better, but remember my unit is only 600wt the readings are better too

yeah it did for sure, after a few more setting adjustments it will improve too, was still all set up with the settings for the old transducer, i got told the deeper the water the more it will show the difference and come into its own so a decent day will show that

hey mate is this transducer
hey mate
is this transducer for the ff50? I have recently purchased the new ff60 and am having problems with losing the image after about 15 knots. image at 10knots and under is awesome in depths up to 50m.
was thinking of getting a 1kw but was told because the ff60 is only a 600w unit that would not get the most benefit out of it.
Will be interested to see how your set up is going now?

hi colesy.............yes
hi colesy.............yes this was on a ff50.
i have sold that boat now, however if your running the standard tranny and only getting 15knots max you prob have it fitted wrongly, i would possibly looknig at raising it a touch.i used to get great reading at 30 knots
the 1kw is big and i found i lost speed, however pic quality was excellnt and at 200m plus it showed bottom extremely well, i thought the same about the benefits of the unit being only 600w but the standard tranny only runs 1 element for both frequency where the 1kw has 2 therefore being bigger.
i was happy with it, sometimes wish i kept it and made room to fit in the new boat
