I use prawn pieces (pealed) or blood worms for whiting and whole mullie or blue sardine/pilch for tailor (depending on size of fish).

You mean
squid test- I mean tenticles.
Whiting: red bead or strip/tube on hook, then any worm, blood best but sandworms also. Then squid strips or tenTicles, then prawn (but it last one nibble). Also Meat (oxheart etc) and it sticks like glue.
Tailor: Mulie, the mulie, then mulie, then whatever else like gardies, whiting etc.

caught plenty of big tailor
caught plenty of big tailor on weekend 40-60cm on herring fillets and tailor fillet, when tailor are on the bite find they take allmost anything, also a few glow beads near hooks seem to work for a mate that was using them , he was getting hit first time every cast before me with his stupid glow beads (this was sunset fishing)
